WCN23-1048 PI3K-Akt-mTOR PATHWAY REGULATES PERICYTE-MYOFIBROBLAST TRANSITION THROUGH REGULATING HKII

چکیده

An increasing number of comprehensive genetic fate mapping studies have demonstrated that pericytes are the main progenitors renal scar-forming myofibroblasts, and contribute in poor repair acute kidney injury progression to chronic disease. Following unilateral ureteral obstruction, injured epithelial cells primarily secreted TGF-β1, which could then trigger pericyte-myofibroblast transition (PMT). Studies found a novel link between metabolism epigenetic modulation transdifferentiation, metabolites can regulate differentiation.

Eupafolin ameliorates lipopolysaccharide-induced cardiomyocyte autophagy via PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway

Objective(s): Eupafolin, a major active component of Eupatorium perfoliatum L., has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is responsible for myocardial depression. A line of evidences revealed that LPS induces autophagy in cardiomyocytes injury. This study aims to evaluate the effects of eupafolin on LPS-induced cardiomyocyte autophagy...

DEK promoted EMT and angiogenesis through regulating PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway in triple-negative breast cancer

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly aggressive subtype of breast cancer associated with poor prognosis. As an oncogene, DEK involves in regulation of various cellular metabolisms and plays an important role in tumor growth and progression. Increasing evidences suggested that abnormal expression of DEK is closely related to multiple malignant tumors. However, the possible involvemen...

Role of TM4SF1 in regulating breast cancer cell migration and apoptosis through PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.

PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of transmembrane-4-l-six-family-1 (TM4SF1) on breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231 invasion and apoptosis and its mechanism through PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway. METHODS siRNA-TM4SF1 and pcDNA-TM4SF1 plasma were constructed and then transfected into MDA-MB-231 cells respectively. Real time (RT)-PCR was used to measure the mRNA expression ...

Long non-coding RNA FOXO1 inhibits lung cancer cell growth through down-regulating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway

Objective(s): Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, which seriously threatens the health and life of the people. Recently, a novel long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) termed lncFOXO1 was found and investigated in breast cancer. However, the effect of lncFOXO1 on lung cancer is still ambiguous. The current study aimed to uncover the functions of lncFOXO1 in l...

PI3K/AKT/mTOR Pathway in Angiogenesis

The phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT/mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway is activated in the majority of human cancers. This pathway is known to play a key role in numerous cellular functions including proliferation, adhesion, migration, invasion, metabolism, and survival, but in the current review we focus on its role in angiogenesis. PI3K activation may occur via RAS mutation...
